Let Me Introduce Myself

I'm Giedre, a stubborn web enthusiast with an endless resource of curiosity. It's hard to trace exactly when my love for technology began, but since 2015, during university, my curiosity for the World Wide Web grew into something more professional.

My fascination with the web started when I realized how simple it was to create something from nothing. You could open a notepad, write a few lines of HTML, and suddenly you had a page saying, "Hello, world!" It was basic, sure — maybe even pointless — but it was something you made.

As a late '90s kid, I witnessed the early days of social media when it was just a chaotic, blog-like space struggling to monetize our need to connect. I fell in love with that world — the wonkiness, silliness, and raw wildness of an internet that wasn’t yet governed or polished.

Back then, AI copilots weren’t a thing. If you wanted to build something, you had to experiment, google endlessly, and pray Stack Overflow had the answer. It taught me more than just technical skills: it taught me how to find information, apply it, and critically assess how well it worked.

My Career Journey So Far

I've been working with web content professionally since 2019. Over the years, I've evolved from a one-person team into a systematic content manager, but my core goal has stayed the same: to make every project more user-friendly and accessible.

Sometimes, making a difference wasn’t about creating a "perfectly clean" look — it was about practical improvements like refining layouts, adjusting color contrasts, or implementing subtle changes that had a big impact over time. Small changes, big results.

Tools I Befriended

Ironically, while the web moves at an insane pace, humans can’t keep up without a few artificial helpers. And that's okay — tools are just tools. It’s not about whether you use them, but how you use them.

People once resisted automation during the First Industrial Revolution — and now we couldn’t imagine life without it. The same goes for AI and the digital landscape today.

Over the years, I've worked with a range of tools and platforms to manage content, enhance user experiences, and support digital growth.
Here's a snapshot of my current toolkit:

  • CMS Platforms: WordPress, Wix, E-commerce and Custom content management systems
  • Design & Prototyping: Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Canva
  • SEO & Analytics: Google Analytics, Basic SEO, Platform based tools
  • Project Management: ClickUp, Trello, Jira
  • AI Support: Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, Vercel
